Conservatories
We are proud to provide and install visually appealing conservatories in Marple and the surrounding areas. We also offer replacement conservatory roofs.
About the Area
Four miles south-east of Stockport and 9 miles south-east of Manchester, the rural town of Marple sits on the Rover Goyt.
Popular with walkers, Marple town encompasses the villages of Marple, Marple Bridge, Mellor, Hawk Green, High Lane, Moor End, Strines and the hamlet of Mill Brow. There are more than 22 pubs in Marple dotted along picturesque routes, plus continental bakeries and cafes.
Like much of Greater Manchester, Marple once boasted a thriving cotton industry. These days, it is better known for its moorlands and wooded valleys, plus the annual Marple Carnival.
The town also lends its name to Agatha Christie’s famous detective Miss Marple. Christie often visited family in nearby Cheshire by train in her youth, and the train station has cover art of some of her most famous Miss Marple novels. There is also a blue plaque in the town, which was unveiled by Christie’s grandson.
