Slimline Design

Where many sash windows have thick frames, our Heritage windows contain the slimmest sightlines of any uPVC sash window on the UK market, with a 35mm meeting rail. Not only does this enhance the sleek and traditional appearance for any traditional home, but it solidifies the authenticity of their design.

Traditional Wooden Sash Finish

The Heritage range comes, as standard, with a high quality white ash woodgrain foil finish which only those with a keen eye for detail would spot as UPVC. Other foiled finishes for our Heritage sash windows include: chalk white, plain white, cream woodgrain, golden oak, rosewood.

For a truly bespoke appearance, whether you’re replicating an original sash window or simply wanting something more specific, our team can factory-spray your sash window in any RAL colour.

Historical windows for the future

Don’t mistake traditional with old-fashioned – our Heritage sash windows are leading the way in modern glazing, perfectly blending cherished designs of architectural history with innovative manufacturing.

Premium sash features as standard.

All of Manchester Window Factory’s Heritage sash windows come with premium features as standard.

The Heritage comes, as standard, with an authentic-looking white woodgrain foil, but is available in any RAL colour.

Peace of Mind

All IBGs are NOT the same. As members of The Consumer Protection Association, our insurance backed guarantee covers 100% of the contract value. Many of our competitors offer IBGs covering as little as 25%. We are a Certass registered company.

Heritage Sash Windows FAQs

What Manchester Window Factory doesn’t know about windows isn’t worth knowing, so if your question isn’t answered below, our family-run business is here to help.

It is possible to install Heritage sliding sash windows into any home, but they are particularly well placed in period properties as a solution to replacing traditional timber sash windows.

This is moreso the case for listed properties who are required by law to maintain as closely as possible the original look of the building. Where original sash windows require updating or replacing entirely, Heritage sash windows can be a seamless replacement because of their authentic design.

Window horns, or sash horns, were a feature of original sash windows used to strengthen the structure of the window. In many traditional styles of vertical sliding windows, the sash horns are screwed into the frame creating a protrusion. However with runthrough horns, they are incorporated into the frame and finished with a cap so as to hide this feature and create a seamless design.

Our Heritage sash windows offer a single-piece sash hron with bespoke flush end caps.
