We Cover Tameside

Often described as a ‘hidden gem’, Tameside is a borough of Greater Manchester, stretching eastwards to the edge of the Peak District National Park. Starting life as a rural community, Tameside has evolved into an attractive mix of moors and urban living. Encompassing Ashton-under-Lyne, Audenshaw, Denton, Droylsden, Dukinfield, Hyde, Longdendale, Mossley and Stalybridge, the borough takes its name from the River Tame.

Tameside was at the centre of the industrial revolution and is the birthplace of many famous sons and daughters, including 1966 World Cup hero Sir Geoff Hurst, boxer Ricky Hatton, Take That’s Howard Donald, and Simply Red’s Mick Hucknall.

Tameside’s many attractions include the magnificent vistas of Werneth Low, Werneth Low Country Park, Portland Basin Museum, Ashton Market, Park Bridge Heritage Centre, and the Museum of the Manchester Regiment.

After contacting several window companies for an installation needed within two weeks, Manchester Window Factory were the only company that were able to accomodate us. They were very responsive with us getting a quote within 30 minutes and all follow up communications were on time, I didn't have to chase them up for anything. The staff in the store were friendly, helpful and answered all of our questions with patience and without any of the usual sales push or pressure tactics you sometimes get from window suppliers. The team were great at responding to emails and phone calls when we had queries about our order, and they guided us through all the various options to help us select something that fit the style of our property. The measurer and fitters turned up when they said they would, and they were polite, professional and cleaned up after themselves. The windows look great and are fantastic quality.
